I have painted this same scene every season over the last few years but due to many storms the scenary has changed due to trees blowing down and new ones growing. With the recent snowfall I took the opportunity to photograph an up to date view and then painted it. The brilliance of the blue sky against the white snow and the stark trees was a joy to paint.

The owner told me that she wanted something fun, relaxing, and beautiful to adorn her shed. She pointed out the she especially hated the electric meter. About 1/2 way across painting on the shed, she came out with ice tea and asked if I could also include the Blue Ridge Mountains. So, I made the building end (made a corner) and then added some blue ridge mountains off in the background. Finished product has feelings of Greece with Blue Ridge mountains, making it a true fantasy piece!
