ARTISTS
Adelina Abasli
Young fine artist and now instructor, Adelina, has been going to art classes since she was 3 and she hasn 2019t stopped since. Adelina has immigrated to the UK 5 years ago from Azerbaijan, where she was born. Adelina has always been curious about the different media 2019s and experimenting with them. Doing that she has developed her own style, yet she still takes inspiration from other artists.
She has also experimented with photography and turning her pictures into art on paper with many different textures and perspectives. Adelina is very high spirited and open minded to any suggestions or ideas. She is also very social and loves to communicate with people in all age groups .

Adelina mostly focuses on Still Life, but she is open to changing things around and building her skill on other areas such as landscapes, portraits, nature, animals and playing around with shadows and light.
Her strong suit is pencils as she thinks they are the best for details, but she loves other media 2019s such as oil paints, acrylics, watercolour, pastels , chalk and so much more! Adelina is looking forward to meeting you all and sharing all her knowledge and warms to make everyone feel welcome.

A change of medium from watercolour to Acrylic has been fun! "The Bothy" was a fun attempt at this medium. Going for a looser style to capture the wildness of the Scottish hills.

When I walk through the woods and hills of Aberdeenshire I never feel alone. There are hidden creatures everywhere. Some benign, some less so. When I turn around after passing some fallen branches, there the Snatcher is...Ink and Watercolour in my sketchbook.

This A2 size oil painting is of my grandfather-in-law who discovered his love for travel and adventure in later life. He lived on a terraced apple orchard mountain in Gansu, China in a rammed earth courtyard house. His friends thought he was quite eccentric in terms of his passion for travel at his age so he would seek out the village without telling anyone apart from those involved in his travel plans! He didn't own a phone and was hard of hearing so it was always a nervous wait at the arrival

36?x40? Acrylic on stretched canvas.?Trauma? is a self portrait reflecting the emotional turmoil of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). I am a 58 year old artist from Portland, Oregon and was diagnosed with CPTSD in 2020. Looking back I am a textbook case, I was raised in a home with a very violent mother and a father who chose to remain blissfully unaware. The violence included being held by my ankles and hung over a gravel driveway from a 2nd floor porch, to beatings on
