ARTISTS
Adelina Abasli
Young fine artist and now instructor, Adelina, has been going to art classes since she was 3 and she hasn 2019t stopped since. Adelina has immigrated to the UK 5 years ago from Azerbaijan, where she was born. Adelina has always been curious about the different media 2019s and experimenting with them. Doing that she has developed her own style, yet she still takes inspiration from other artists.
She has also experimented with photography and turning her pictures into art on paper with many different textures and perspectives. Adelina is very high spirited and open minded to any suggestions or ideas. She is also very social and loves to communicate with people in all age groups .

Adelina mostly focuses on Still Life, but she is open to changing things around and building her skill on other areas such as landscapes, portraits, nature, animals and playing around with shadows and light.
Her strong suit is pencils as she thinks they are the best for details, but she loves other media 2019s such as oil paints, acrylics, watercolour, pastels , chalk and so much more! Adelina is looking forward to meeting you all and sharing all her knowledge and warms to make everyone feel welcome.

I took this photo of Scurdie ness lighthouse in Montrose and loved the contrast of shadow and sunlight. Although seascapes are not my forte, I enjoyed the challenge.

This piece is called Van Pricey. I?m off to the Van Gogh experience later in the year as I?ve always been an admirer of his work. That made me wonder what it would be like to try and paint in a similar style? hence ?Van Pricey? was created. 16? x 16? acrylics on a deep canvas.

Another painting completed as part of Mike Samson's art classes this term. The theme was green and this fitted perfectly. The underpainting was done in cool shades of green, deep hookers green and dark turquoise colours. I was then able to paint on top of these under tones with brighter warmer greens to build the layers of trees, reflecting the colour in the river. The bridge in white was the last thing to paint with the help of masking tape!

Title or Location: Inverbervie Beach
This is the third painting I have done as part of Mike Samson's art classes this term focusing on a single colour. This project began as a tonal study using just black and white which I used initially to block in the picture. I was then able to build up the tones by adding shades of paynes grey and indigo. Finally I added some greens and burnt sienna to add a touch of colour. This picture is heading to Inverbervie for the annual exhibition from April 5-12.

?The old Chevy? was inspired by looking at the old vehicles of days gone by when style was more important than aerodynamics or economy. These vehicles had character and are still beautiful as they mature in their old age. The rust and colours gradually fading only add to their beauty.

In the world of art, few subjects capture the essence of grace and elegance quite like the dancer. This stunning portrait encapsulates the beauty of ballet, showcasing not just the physical prowess of the dancer but also the emotional depth that comes with the art form. The dancer, adorned in a flowing orange costume, seems to defy gravity, her limbs extended in a perfect display of strength and poise. The choice of color is particularly striking the warm tones of her outfit contrast beauti
